LOCAL ATTRACTIONS & HISTORY

Queens Park Rangers, the football team, originally came from here, as the name implies.  After many years were moved to Shepherds Bush in 1917.
Scottie Wilson an unschooled artist and eccentric of international renown lived here for fourteen years from 1958 until 1972.

His work is highly collectable and is hanging in many renowned galleries all over the world.  His work is very organic, primitive and some would categorise it as folk art, but he was soon affiliated with the Surrealist Movement.

A colourful character who had  a junk shop in Paddington and who fell upon art by accident whilst collecting, amongst other things, old fountain pens with gold nibs.  One in particular caught his eye and he started to draw with it and never looked back!
The Farmers Market on Sunday is extremely popular with us locals and a great place to take a wander especially if you are a “foodie.”

The Royal Botanical Gardens at Kew are well worth a visit and are only 29 minutes away from Brondesbury Park Station London Overground.

For those who like to keep fit whilst away there are several options available.  Walk-in classes for both YOGA and PILATES are just round the corner.  Local gym with daily rates and running in the park.
